Welding Helmet Esab Sentinel A50

Main features:

1) Revolutionary shell design, high impact resistance nylon.
2) Ergonomic, providing extreme comfort and balance.
3) Large viewing area.
4) Externally activated Grind Button.

So, in a nutshell, this is a very nice helmet.

It is very easy to use after a couple minutes. Use the manual to learn about the settings and setting the memory.

It is also very comfortable and has a ton of adjustment for your head.

The fit and finish is very nice so you can expect it to last.

There are 3 things I don't like about this helmet:
  1. When not looking directly at what you are welding, you get a glare because the lens is curved. I believe this is true for all curved lenses. Not a big deal as long as you look right at the arc.
  2. When it was brand new, i could see my breath on the touch screen while the hood was down. Also not a big deal but noticeable when welding. After it got a little dusty that seemed to stop.
  3. Since the outside lens is flush to the body if you put it face down you will scratch the lens.
